SiCast 405 – Advanced Ceramic Investment Casting Resin
Category: Investment Casting Resin
Wavelength Range: 385–405 nm
Technology: SLA/DLP Open-Platform
Description
SiCast 405 is the upgraded successor to Castalite, designed to bring the precision of digital light processing (DLP) into the world of investment casting. Purpose-built for open-platform SLA and DLP printers (385–405 nm), SiCast 405 produces high-fidelity ceramic shells and integrated cores in a single build—capturing cooling channels, lattices, and complex undercuts that dip-shell methods simply cannot achieve.
After firing, the printed structures become dense, dimensionally stable shells with exceptional thermal-shock resistance. This robust performance supports some of the most demanding metallurgical processes—including directionally solidified and single-crystal castings of nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys.
Key Advantages
Single-Crystal Ready: Withstands extreme thermal gradients and withdrawal rates, enabling single-crystal and directionally solidified turbine blade production.
Foundry-Grade Performance: Crack-free shells with minimal residual ash, built to survive molten metal pours.
Design Freedom: Print entire molds and cores—eliminating wax patterns and multi-step slurry shells.
Hardware-Agnostic: Runs on most open-platform SLA/DLP systems at 385–405 nm.
Cleaner Workflow: Solvent-free formulation simplifies handling and reduces waste.
Fast Delivery: Ready-to-use resin ships within three weeks of order.
Applications
Aerospace: Single-crystal turbine blades, airfoils, and integrated cooling channel cores.
Industrial Casting: High-performance molds with intricate internal geometries.
Jewelry & Art: Ultra-fine detail reproduction with reduced lead times.
Why SiCast 405?
SiCast 405 delivers digital foundry precision with single-crystal capability, accelerating lead times while unlocking casting geometries beyond the reach of traditional processes.
